Beard transplantation is a surgical procedure carried out using a technique called DHI (Direct Hair Implantation).

The process of beard transplantation using the DHI technique consists of the following stages:

  1. Consultation and Planning: The first step involves the person who will undergo beard transplantation coming to the Elegance Clinic to consult with the hair transplantation experts and plan the procedure. During this session, the person’s hair structure, the current status of the beard area, and expectations are evaluated. The patient’s characteristics are analyzed to determine and plan the suitable beard line.
  2. Local Anesthesia: The beard transplantation operation is performed under local anesthesia. During the operation, the patient is awake and conscious, but does not feel any pain or discomfort.
  3. Preparation of the Donor Area: The Grafts needed for beard transplantation are usually taken from the back head area. This area typically contains roots resistant to hair loss. The donor area is prepared in a sterile manner and the Grafts that will be taken are carefully selected.
  4. Extraction of Hair Follicles: During beard transplantation with the DHI technique, the Grafts are individually extracted from the back head area, which is the donor area, using the finest punches.
  5. Storing the extracted Hair Follicles: After the Grafts are extracted, they are separated and stored in a special solution. This solution preserves the health of the Grafts and ensures they remain alive until the implantation process.
  6. Implantation: The extracted Grafts are individually placed in the beard area using the DHI method. At this stage, the line and density determined for the beard transplantation are taken into account. Multi-grafts are not preferred in beard transplantation. Multi-grafts are separated and the transplantation is performed.
  7. Post-operative Care: After the beard transplantation operation, the patient must follow the doctor’s instructions. These instructions may include wound care, medication use, physical activities, and protection of the beard for the first few weeks. The patient is monitored by the doctor during the recovery process for regular check-ups.
